You’ve put real work into your business. Before you buy another marketing course, let’s pause and figure out what you actually need.

Is there something specific you want to learn? Or are you trying to understand why your website, social media, and message don’t seem to work together?

Those are different questions. And I don’t want you adding more homework to your plate when what you need is a little direction.

What are you hoping the course will fix?

Before you sign up, try finishing this sentence:

“I want this course to help me ______.”

Be specific. “Get better at marketing” is a lot to ask of one course. “Learn how to write a welcome email for new subscribers” gives you something clearer to look for.

But what if your answer is, “I’m posting, I have a website, and I still don’t know why people aren’t reaching out”?

That’s where I’d slow down. You’re asking about how the pieces fit—not just how to do one task.

A course can teach you a skill. Choosing which skill your business needs first is another conversation.

Does your online presence tell the same story?

Take a look at your business as someone who doesn’t know you yet.

Start with a recent social post. Then visit your homepage. Does it feel like the same business? Is the offer you mentioned easy to find? Can someone tell who you help and what to do next?

You don’t need identical words everywhere. You do need a clear connection.

Here are a few things to check:

  • Your message: Do your social profile and homepage describe the same work?
  • Your links: When someone follows a link, do they arrive where they’d expect?
  • Your next step: Is it easy to ask a question, shop, or get in touch?

If something feels disconnected, write it down. You don’t have to fix everything today. Just notice where the connection gets fuzzy.

That gives you a starting point beyond “I guess I need to do more marketing.”

Do you need more information—or help using what you know?

There’s nothing wrong with taking a course. If it teaches something you want to learn, and you have time to practice it, that can be a good fit.

But if you already have notes, ideas, and unfinished lessons, another course might not be what you need right now.

You might need help choosing what comes first. Someone to talk through what fits your business, what needs attention, and what you can leave alone.

You’re the expert in your craft. You don’t have to become an expert in every part of marketing, too.

Let’s start with your business

At Purple Essence, I’d rather start with a conversation than hand you another list of things to do.

Tell me what you’re working toward. Tell me what feels stuck. We can look at how your website, social media, and message connect, then decide whether an audit or strategy work makes sense.

No need to have it all figured out first.

Request a consultation and tell me a little about your business. We’ll start there.
